  Advertisements are forcing their way into people’s lives. People refer to advertisements in their daily lives because they are consumers. The advertisers are usually manufacturers, retailers and salesmen. Their merchandise needs to be advertised to bring it to the attention to the customers. Thus nearly every product is advertised in some way. To a large extent, good advertising leads to success while bad advertising can mean failure.

  There are many ways to advertise and ‘ads’ come in different forms. Newspapers carry advertisements. Some products are publicized on TV and radio which bring them into notice of a wide audience. Billboards also carry advertising. Advertising is a big industry now and many agencies have been set up to furnish a variety of forms.

The consumer falls victim to such advertising. Millions of people have bought advertised products and have been dissatisfied with them。

  Every day when we turn on the TV-set, what appears into our eyes first is advertisement. Some people think that advertisements have many advantages, while I take no interests in them at all. On the contrary, they are a great nuisance in my mind.

  There are two main disadvantages of advertisements. For one thing, advertisements often mislead us. Most sellers on advertisements boast that their products are superior to other ones in the markets. However, they are inferior in quality. When people fall for the tricks, they can do nothing but complain and regret because they can’t contact the sellers to get compensation after purchasing. For another, advertisements usually take up plenty of time on TV, so we can’t watch any TV programs in a happy mood. What is worse is that many interesting programs are segmented by a lot of boring advertisements, which makes us feel annoyed. But we have to stand.

So far as I am concerned, the advertisements done by the celebrities should be limited.

We have heard of some cases about the false information in the ads and a number of stars have been accused by the customers for their misdeeds. What is more, the customers should become careful and critical about the information they see in TV. It does no harm to think twice before buying the products advertised by the stars. Finally, the government needs to tighten the control over the broadcasting of the advertisement.

  首先,名人在宣傳產品的同時也得到可觀的報酬,他們應該對在廣告中所說的負責,因為廣告的信譽是無價的。我們已經(jīng)聽說了一些有關廣告中的虛假信息的案例,很多明星因其誤導而被消費者控告。另外,消費者對在電視上看到的信息應該小心和批判。在購買明星代言的產品前三思而后行是百益而無一害的。最后,政府需要加強對廣告廣播的控制。

  To sum up, the stars should be responsible when doing the advertisement and in the mean time, the consumers should be careful when shopping.
