A simpleton's wife told him to buy some ice.
一個(gè)傻子的妻子叫他去買冰。
Two hours later, he didn't come back. so his wife went out to have a look. She sawher husbandwas standing in the sun at the gate and watching the ice melting.
兩小時(shí)后，他還沒有回來。于是他的妻子便出去看看。她看見她的丈夫站在門口的太陽底下，看著冰融化。
"What's the matter?" She asked him. "Why don't you bring it in?"
“怎么回事?”她問道。“你怎么不把它拿進(jìn)來?”
"I saw the ice was wet and I was afraid that you would scold me so I'm running it dry." The simpleton answered.
“我看冰是濕的，怕你會(huì)罵我，所以我在把它曬干。”傻子回答道。

One night just before Valentine's Day a woman had a lovely dream about a beautiful necklace.
情人節(jié)的前一天晚上，一個(gè)女人做了一個(gè)關(guān)于漂亮項(xiàng)鏈的美夢(mèng)。
When she woke up, she told her husband, "I just dreamt that you gave me a pearl necklace for Valentine's day. What do you think it could mean?"
