(7) as 引導(dǎo)非限制性定語(yǔ)從句

(8)引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句。與while意義相近

(9) 引導(dǎo)原因狀語(yǔ)從句，與because的用法相近
例：As it was getting very late, we soon turned back.

例：Child as he is, he knows much about science.
