1. I feel it in my bones.
I feel it in my bones.
A: How do you know you're going to win?
B: I feel it in my bones.
2. squeak by...
例如:某科你只拿到六十分,就可以說(shuō)squeak by with asixty.
A: I wonder if I got an A on the exam.
B: I'm just hoping I squeaked by with a C.
The bad economics wiped him out.
A: How are your stocks doing?
B: Not good. I got wiped out in the crash last year.
get up the nerve
1:I'm trying to get up the nerve to walk in and tellmy boss I want a 20% raise
work up the nerve
I've been trying to work up the nerve to ask her tomarry me, but I'm afraid all she'll do is laugh.
我們?cè)賮?lái)學(xué)個(gè)習(xí)慣用語(yǔ): have got a lot of nerve。
You've really got a lot of nerve telling me I spend too much money! Remember, youare the one who goes up to New York every month and brings back a thousanddollars worth of stuff.
Of all the nerve。
Of all the nerve! How dare you criticize me for being late in the morning. You're theone who sneak out half an hour early - at least I work a full eight hours every day!
