Rebecca: So, Diego, I hear that Mexico has some really great food and that you love to cook. What's your favorite food in Mexico?
Diego: My favorite food in Mexico is chiles en nogada. Chiles means pepper and this is a verytraditional Mexican dish because our flag is green, white and red, so this plate, the peppersare green, and then it has a white sauce on top of it and then it has a grain sort of fruit. It's ared fruit and it's representing our flag so it's very... It's a very historical plate in Mexico. It'svery famous.
Rebecca: Oh, wow. I don't think we have anything like that in Australia. It'd be hard to getsomething that you'd eat that's blue and red and white.
Diego: Blue and red.
Rebecca: Yeah. Maybe fish.
Diego: Fish with strawberries.
Rebecca: I don't think that would work.
Diego: Yeah.
Rebecca: So what about tacos? Do you eat them a lot?
Diego: Yeah, we eat them a lot. Tacos is like Mexican fast food, so there's a lot of tacos standsin Mexico, and you can have them in all sorts of ways: with cheese, with onions, with meat, withdifferent sauces, like green sauce, hot sauce, red sauce. Yeah.
Rebecca: Do the tortillas... do they stand up or are they round ones that always fall over whenyou go to eat them?
Diego: They're the round ones and they're also soft so they're not corn chips.
Rebecca: Like the ones we get.
Diego: Yes.
Rebecca: Not true Mexican.
Lindsay: So if you buy a game, how long does it take you to beat the game? One year orfifteen hours or what?
Jake: Well, maybe the shortest one are only about six hours but it all depends on how muchyou're playing it. If it's something I really like, sometimes I can't put it down and I just keepplaying it and I finish it in a few days and sometimes, well, it's alright but I can't get myself tokeep playing it so sometimes it can take me a few months to finish a game.
Lindsay: Oh, OK. So do you think you're a very skillful video game player?
Jake: No, I'm pretty bad sometimes, especially at the newer games. I'm better at the old ones.
Lindsay: Oh, Ok, but one final question, do you think it's more important to beat the actualvideo game or when you're playing with someone to beat the person that you're playing with?
Jake: What do you mean?
Lindsay: So, you know, when you're friend comes over and you're both playing the videogames together and you're competing against one each other, or is it better to actually likebeat the video game itself? Does that make sense? Don't you usually against your friend?
Jake: Yeah, sometimes I play against my friends, but it seems like there's less goal to it whenyou're playing against someone else. You win sometimes and you lose sometimes, but once youfinish the game, then you can feel like you've accomplished something.
Lindsay: Oh, OK. Have you ever been so addicted to a game, and then you finished it andyou were disappointed because you liked the game so much?
Jake: Actually, that happens a lot. Sometimes you finish a game that you really like and youwish there were more games that you could keep playing it.
Lindsay: OK, that happens to me but that's when I am reading a book, or yeah, usually whenI'm reading a book or finish a long project but I can't imagine that happening with a videogame.
Jake: It's exactly the same as with a book or with a TV series or something else that you reallyenjoy. When it's finished...
Lindsay: It's bitter sweet, right?
Jake: Yes, exactly.
