第二十一課 Run in the park 在公園跑步
KATE: So, did I tell you, I met this guy.
所以我有告訴過你嗎,我見到這個(gè)家伙了。
EMMA: Yeah, the one from the bank?

KATE: No!

EMMA: The guy at the beach?

KATE: It all happened so fast. I was putting on my lip gloss and then bang. I hit his car. But there was a reward: the driver. He's great.

LEO: You always have such bad luck with your boss'' car.

PETER: Hey! Sometimes I do have good luck with my boss'' car.
沒關(guān)系!有時(shí)候我和我老板的車在一起的時(shí)候的確會(huì)有好運(yùn)。
LEO: You mean, Kate?

PETER: I was waiting to park when she hit my car but then. 'Well, hello there gorgeous'' I mean, at first I was really angry! I mean she hit my boss'' car! But when I saw her. Hello!
當(dāng)她撞我車的時(shí)候我正等著停車,然后...‘好華麗啊!’我的意思是,起初我真的很生氣!我的意思是她撞了我老板的車! 0但是當(dāng)我看見她的時(shí)候。你好!
PETER: So call her! Yeahok. Excuse me bartender, do you have a phone?

LISA: Petey, Peter Oakes. Lisa! Lisa Gomez? You remember me?

PETER: Lisa Gomez. How can I forget? How are you?

PETER: Leo is my best friend. But I did not steal his girlfriend! A couple of years ago I was studying business at the university and Lisa was in my class. I didn't know she had a boyfriend! One evening I was waiting for Lisa outside a movie theater.
Leo是我最好的朋友。但是我們有偷他的女朋友!幾年前我正在大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)商務(wù),而且Lisa和我一個(gè)班級(jí)。我不知道她有男朋友!一天晚上我正在一個(gè)電影院外面等Lisa。
PETER: I saw this other guy. He was also waiting outside the movie theater. We started talking. His date was late too. When Lisa arrived she looked at me, she looked at Leo, and then she ran away!

PETER: She had two dates at the same time! Anyways, I saw Leo at school the next day and now we're best friends! That's funny.

CLIFFORD: Where's the dog. I know there's a dog somewhere. Where is the dog? Maybe there's a dog in here. I can't see the dog.
狗在哪里。我知道有只狗在某個(gè)地方。0狗在哪里?可能狗在這里。我看不到狗。
CLIFFORD: Where is it? No dogs allowed. No dogs allowed. I know there's a dog in here, there's a dog in here. I know it.

MAN: Hi. Everything OK? Are you OK?

CLIFFORD: Yeah.

MAN: Do you want to come in, have a look?

MAN: I came home early from work, I have a sore throat.

CLIFFORD: No, actually I've been sick for a long time now, since last year.

MAN: A year? You should see a doctor.

CLIFFORD: I'm sick again. I'm sick. I'm getting sick from the dog. It's the dogs that are making me sick, it's the dogs.

第二十八課 Back at the doctor’s 復(fù)診
CLIFFORD: I want to make an appointment to see the doctor tomorrow.

NURSE: How about next week?

CLIFFORD: What if I'm dead by then?
到時(shí)候要是我死了怎么辦?
NURSE: You should go home and get some rest you'll feel better.

CLIFFORD: I haven't been feeling well for a long time. You name it I have it. I have a sore throat. I have an eye infection. Lung infection.

NURSE: 415 tomorrow.

CLIFFORD: 415? 415 tomorrow?

NURSE: You'll be fine. 415 tomorrow.

CLIFFORD: I'll come in at 315 because someone will probably cancel. Then I'll come in at 315.

NURSE: Good idea.

CLIFFORD: 315, that's a long.
3:15,太長(zhǎng)了...
NURSE: Just take the vitamins and we'll see you tomorrow.

CLIFFORD: Keep hope alive.
