Amy has been in China for two days.Now she is watching TV with her friend Jason about China's mountains.
埃米來(lái)中國(guó)兩天了，她正在與朋友賈森看關(guān)于中國(guó)山川的電視節(jié)目。
Amy:Do you know the highest mountain in the world?
埃米：你知道世界最高峰是哪個(gè)嗎?
Jason:Yes.It is Everest,also called Zhumulangma in China.It is 8,884.43 meters above the sea level.
賈森：知道，是Everest,中文叫珠穆朗姆峰，高出海平面8844.43米。
Amy:Wow!That must be really awesome to stand on the top of the mountain to overlook the earth.
埃米：哇!如果站在頂峰向下俯瞰全球應(yīng)該是很帥的事情。
Jason:Actually,it is impossible because the mountain is covered with snow all year around.And is has heavy fog for most of the time.
賈森：事實(shí)上珠峰常年積雪，大部分時(shí)間也是大霧天氣，不可能看到的。
Amy:Have people set foot on its peak?
埃米：那有人登上過(guò)最高峰嗎?
Jason:Yes.It has been conquered by many people in history.
賈森：有的，歷史上很多人都曾登上去過(guò)。

This is a program on the head of China's five sacred mountains,Mount Tai.Emmy is asking something about it with Jason.
電視中介紹到了中國(guó)五岳之首的泰山，埃米向賈森詢(xún)問(wèn)關(guān)于泰山的事情。
Amy:Do you know something about Mount Tai?
埃米：你了解泰山嗎?
Jason:Yes.But not too much.It is considered as the head of five sacred mountains in China.
賈森：知道一點(diǎn)兒，但是不多。泰山被中國(guó)人尊為五岳之首。
Amy:Five sacred mountains?Why people call them so?
埃米：五岳?為什么人們這么稱(chēng)呼呢?
Jason:Because in history,the Chinese emperors used to climb onto these mountains and pay tribute to their ancestors and pray for good harvest and prosperity for the whole nation.
賈森：因?yàn)闅v史上很多中國(guó)帝王來(lái)到這些山上祭拜祖先，祈求國(guó)泰民安。
Amy:Got it.Can we see any things left by them?
埃米：明白了，那還有什么歷史古跡嗎?
Jason:Definitely.There are many wall paintings and inscriptions on the huge rocks on the mountain.
賈森：當(dāng)然有。有很多他們留下的壁畫(huà)和石刻。
Amy:I want to see them.How can I go there?
埃米：我想去看看這些東西呢.該怎么去呢?
Jason:That is easy.You can go directly to Tai'an city and buy a ticket to Mount Tai.
賈森：很簡(jiǎn)單，坐直達(dá)車(chē)到泰安，然后買(mǎi)票去爬泰山

Amy is asking Jason something about Changbai Mountain which is in his hometown.Jason answers her patiently.
埃米向賈森詢(xún)問(wèn)了他家鄉(xiāng)的長(zhǎng)白山的事情.賈森耐心地向她介紹。
Amy:Which part of China are you from?
埃米：你來(lái)自中國(guó)哪里?
Jason:I am from Jilin Province, Northeast part of China.
賈森：我來(lái)自中國(guó)東北的吉林省:
Amy:Are there any famous mountains in your hometown?
埃米：那你的家鄉(xiāng)有什么有名的大山嗎?
Jason:Yes. The most famous one is Changbai Mountain. It is located in Southern Jilin.
賈森：有的。其中最著名的是長(zhǎng)白山，坐落于吉林省的南部。
Amy:Wow. That must mean it is very cold in winter.
埃米：哇，也就是說(shuō)冬天那里一定很冷。
Jason:Yes. It is chilly outside. But the snow is very beautiful there. Changbai Mountain is one of China's nature preservation zones.
賈森：是的，冬天很冷。不過(guò)雪景很漂亮。長(zhǎng)白山也是中國(guó)自然保護(hù)區(qū)之一。
Amy:Really? There must be a lot of wild animals there.
埃米：真的?那么山上應(yīng)該有很多野生動(dòng)物。
Jason:Yes. If you are lucky, you can find Northeast Tigers. But the luckiest thing is that you can see the Heavenly Lake whose surface is as smooth as the mirror.
賈森：是的，有幸的話(huà)你能看到東北虎。不過(guò)最幸運(yùn)的還是你能看見(jiàn)天池，天池的水面平靜得如鏡面。
Amy:I definitely want to go there.
