Jason is a fan of South Korean culture.Now he finally manages to travel to South Korea.Before his departure,he tells his friend Amy about South Korea in a simple way.

Jason:South Korea is a distant country far away from America. It is located on the Korea Peninsular, close to North Korea.
賈森:韓國(guó)是個(gè)距離美國(guó)很遠(yuǎn)的國(guó)度,它坐落于朝鮮半島上,緊挨著朝鮮。
Amy:So South Korea is a very small country. Does it have a large population?

Jason:Yes, South Korea is very small country with a population of 48,289,037.
賈森:是的,韓國(guó)很小,人口大約是4828.9037萬(wàn)_。
Amy:Wow, unbelievable. And this small country has produced many pop stars.I have watched them on TV almost every day.

Jason:You are right. This can be called their way of promoting their national culture.

Spending two days in South Korea.Jason has got used to the South Korean life style.But he gets really confused at the eating habitat of the South Korean people.SO he asks his friend Kim in Seoul about this.
在韓國(guó)待了兩天之后,賈森已經(jīng)習(xí)慣了韓國(guó)的生活方式。但是他還是很好奇韓國(guó)人的飲食習(xí)慣,于是他向在首爾的朋友金詢(xún)問(wèn)了一些問(wèn)題.
Jason:Do you guys eat the seasoned vegetables every day?
賈森:你們韓國(guó)人每天都吃腌制的蔬菜嗎?
Kim:Actually we South Korean people call the seasoned vegetables kimchi.We like having them nearly every meal.
金:事買(mǎi)上我們韓國(guó)人把這種腌制約蔬菜叫作泡菜,我們基本上每餐都吃。
Jason:Why do you love them so much? I have tried them once. They seem to be too salty for me.
賈森:你們?yōu)槭裁茨敲聪矚g吃這個(gè)?我吃過(guò)一次,我覺(jué)得有點(diǎn)兒太咸了。
Kim:This is along story. We have been making and eating kimchi for a really long time. Kimchi has become an integral part of our life. We even cannot live without them. To tell you a story. The South Korean national Olympic team couldn't stand the food in London and sneaked out for kimchi during the London Games.

Kim has shown Jason around many well known places in South Korea.He wants to take Jason to the most well recived pubs for the South Korean young people before Jason's departure from here.
金帶著賈森在韓國(guó)很多有名的景點(diǎn)轉(zhuǎn)了一圈,在賈森要離開(kāi)韓國(guó)之前,金決定帶賈森到韓國(guó)年輕人經(jīng)常消遣的酒吧看看。
Kim:Have you ever been to pubs?
金:你曾經(jīng)去過(guò)酒吧嗎?
Jason:Yes. But I have never been to a foreign pub especially in South Korea.
賈森:去過(guò),不過(guò)我還沒(méi)在國(guó)外去過(guò)酒吧。尤其是韓國(guó)的酒吧。
Kim:OK. Tonight I am going to show you around in local most famous pub in Seoul. You will find it is a lot different from those in America.
金:這樣啊,今晚我?guī)闳ナ谞栕钍軞g迎的酒吧,你會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)這里的酒吧跟美國(guó)的很不一樣。
Jason:Really? Do you and your friends always hang out in the pubs?
賈森:真的嗎?那你跟你的朋友們經(jīng)常去酒吧玩嗎?
Kim:Yes. It has been one of the most important recreational places for South Korean young people. We would like to drink some beers and talk with our friends.
金:是的,酒吧已經(jīng)成為韓國(guó)主輕人最重要的消遣的地方之一。我們喜歡到那里喝點(diǎn)啤酒,和朋友聊聊天。
Jason:What else do you do in pubs?

Kim:We actually get and promote our South Korean pop music and dances from pubs. You can find many young people talented singing and dancing in the pub.
金:實(shí)際上我們?cè)诰瓢煽梢越邮詹⑼苿?dòng)韓國(guó)流行歌曲和舞蹈。你在酒吧會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)很多有歌唱和舞蹈才能的年輕人。
