3分鐘英語對(duì)話:Cycling
A: Are you ready to go the concert?
M: Yes. Should we go there by bus so we aren't late?
A: Actually, why don't we go there by bike? We could get stuck in traffic if we travel by bus in rush hour.
M: That's true. Cycling is good for our environment, too. Let me just get my helmet then.
A: Is your helmet comfortable?
M: Not really, but I liked the design, so I got it.
A: Maybe you should think about getting a round helmet; they're better.
M: I'll think about it.
A: Is that your new bicycle?
M: Yes, my father gave it to me for my birthday. Do you like it?
A: It's the newest 10 speed cycling mountain bike. These are really expensive!
M: Nothing but the best from my dad. I like eveything about it except for the brakes. They're a bit sticky.
A: I can fix those for you. Is there anything else wrong with it?
M: Well, my saddle is too low for me. Do you know how to change the height?
A: That's easy. It's important to have the saddle high enough so that your legs can extend fully when you're on your bicycle.
M: Is that why my knees have felt sore after every time I've ridden my bike?
A: It's possible Give me a minute and I can fix these for you and then we can go.
三分鐘英語對(duì)話:Public Transportation
M: So, how should we get to the theatre?
G: Let's take the bus.
M: I hate the bus system in London! The bus drivers are rude, the buses are never on time, and there are few people around who can help you.
G: It's not that bad. You probably just had a had experience once.
M: It wasn't just once. Every single time I take the bus, something bad happens to me or to someone else on the bus.
G: We could take the subway, but we'd have to go three stops along one line and then change trains twice.
M: Train fares are twice as expensive as the bus fare, too.
G: If we don't hurry up, we'll miss the show. Should we take the bus?
M: We're already late, so I think we had better take a taxi.
G: I don't think we'll be able to find a taxi very easily during rush hour. Let's just take the bus.
M: Fine. Have a look at the timetable to find out when the next one arrives.
G: It looks like it should be here in just a few minutes.
M: Don't worry. Nothing bad will happen. I'll even buy your ticket for you.
G: Thanks, that was nice of you.
M: See, now something good has happened to you on a bus trip!

G: Is everything alright?
M: Yes, everything is fine.
G: What took so long? I thought your flight was supposed to arrive 3 hours ago!
M: Didn't they announce that our flight was delayed?
G: I didn't hear anything about a dealy. I thought everything was running on time. What happened?
M: We boarded the plane on time, but then we were held up for almost an hour due to a maintenance problem.
G: Then what? Your plane was three hours late!
M: We finally took off, but about 30 minutes later, the captain came on the loudspeaker to warm us that there would be some bad turbulence for most of the flight.
G: Turbulence is pretty normal, isn't it?
M: Yes, but this was the worst turbulence I'd ever experienced in my life! Everyone started getting sick. The flight attendants had to stay in their seats. The captain decided to land early.
G: So where did you land?
M: We landed in Southampton and waited an hour for the storms to pass and then took off again.
G: That sounds like a nightmare!
M: It wasn't too bad. At least I'm alive.
G: Have you had anything to eat?
M: I managed to get a sandwich from a flight attendant. How about you?
G: I had a few coffees while I was waiting. Let's get out of here!
