  二人英語小對話:聚會(huì)

A: Are you going to helen’s birthday party on Friday evening?

B: I wouldn’t miss it for the world! It’s sure to be fun. She’s invited a lot of people. Do you think everyone will be able to get into her house?

A: If everyone turned up, it would be a squeeze. But a few people said that they couldn’t go. So I think it should be OK?

  B: Are you taking anything?

A: I’ve got her a birthday present and I’ll take a bottle fo wine too.

B: That’s a good idea. She told me that she had bought plenty of food and snacks. I think it’s going to be a noisy party. I hope her neihbors don’t mind too much.

A: Helen gets on very well with her neighors. I wouldn’t be surprised if they went to the party too.

B: I’m really looking forward to it. This party is going to be a blast!

A: Well, don’t be late. I’ll see you on Friday at helen’s.

  二人英語小對話:派對

A: that was a great party. Thanks for saying behind to help me clear up.

B; it certainly was a great party. It’s a pity that a glass and a plate got broken and someone spilled a drink over there.

A: I expected that something might get broken. That doesn’t bother me. That spilled drink won’t leave a stain ,will it?

B: I doubt it, I ‘ll deal with it right away. Luckily it wasn’t a glass of red wine, I’ll just get a bowl of water and a cloth.

A: I’m going to put all the rubbish into this big plastic bag.

B: afterwards, we can do the washing up together. Everything will be finished within an hour. Your friend keith is really funny. I liked his magic tricks.

A; yes, he’s very good.. isn’t he? He told some funny stories too.

B: amanda told some very funny jokes. At the beginning of the party, she was being ver serious.

A; I think that she had a litter too much of the punch.

B: what did you put in that punch? It tasted great, but was quite strong.

A: that’s my little secret. Did you lke the snacks and I prepared?

B: very much. The birthday cake was delicious, wasn’t it? Emily told me that she and karen made it themselves.

A: that cake tasted so good! It disappeared within minutes, so I think everyone liked it a lot. How’s that stain?

B: all cleaned up. Are you ready to start on the washing up:

  二人英語小對話:住宅與公寓

A: What kind of place shall we rent?

B: It should be close to the universtity. Neither of us are good at getting up in the morinings and closer it is, the later we can get up.

A: Absolutely. That's the most important thing to take into consideration. I'm not too worried about the size of the flat.

B: Neither am I. So a small place is ok, but we'll get a bigger one if it's not expensive. Do you mind if it's in a noisy area?

A: I don't mind. i'm not a light sleeper, but quieter is better for when we have to study at home.

B: Good point. Ok, let's go to the estate agent and see what they can offer us.

A: Yes, if we're lucky we'll find something in the next few days. I think you had a good idea to start flat hunting early.

B: How much do you think the rent will be?

A: I asked a few people who are already living in places near the university and they said it would cost about one hundred pounds a month.

  二人英語小對話:住宅與公寓

a: we'd like to rent a flat near the university.

b: are you looking for somewhere for two people?

a: yes, we are. obviously, we'd like something as cheap as possible. we've heard that there are places for 80 to 100 pounds a month.

b: yes ,there are several place availabe in that price range near the uviversity. do you have any other requirements?

a: net really, no. we'd preferably like to live in a quiet street.

b: how many rooms do you need in the flat?

a: we'll need two bedrooms. the kitchen and dining room can be seperate or combined.

b: ok. i've got a list of place that fit your requirements. let's just go through them. the first on the list costs 80 pounds a month, but it's on a noisy street and it's a little far from the universtiy.

a: how far away is it from the campus?

b: it's about two miles away. that might be a little far to walk. here's one that's about half a mile from the campus. the cost is 100 pounds a month and it's on a small street, just off a main street.

a: that sounds ideal. can we go to have a look at it? we'd like to see it before making a final decision.

b: of course. i'm not very busy at the monment. if you can wait for about 15 or 20 minutes. i can take you there.

a: thank you. that would be great.

  二人英語小對話:住宅與公寓

A: I like this apartment. Do you think we can afford the mortgage?

B: Yes. I think so. It’s not a very expensive apartment. It’s in the right area and it has everything that we are looking for. The rooms are quite large too.

A: I love the balcony. We can sit outside and enjoy the sun in summer. We are on the 12th floor, so there’s very nice view from the balcony.

B: The neighbourhood is nice too. There is a park nearby.

A: Yes, and there are many houses nearby. I like it that the neighbourhood isn’t full of apartment blocks.

B: It’s a pity we can’t afford a house. A garden would be so nice.

A: Yes, it would. Don’t worry. There’s a lawn outside the building and there’s the park nearby. This place will be fine.

B: The building is quite new and well constructed. I’m happy with the fittings too.

A: Yes, everything has been well designed.
