　　There were two sisters. The older sister is very kind. She likes to help neighbors and bring happiness to them. The younger sister's name is Carol. She doesn’t like to help others. Their neighborhood is quite poor. So on Xmas Eve, the older sister decided to sing Xmas songs to her neighbors to cheer them up. This custom has carried on many years. One year on Xmas Eve, the older sister is too sick to sing. Her younger sister Carol decided that she would help. So Carol went to sing to the neighbors. And neighbors were surprised to see Carol and they all said” Look, it is Carol. Look, it is Carol.” This is how Xmas Carol began.

　　從前有兩姐妹，姐姐人非常好，很喜歡幫助鄰里，給大家?guī)バ腋?。妹妹的名字叫Carol，她不喜歡幫助別人。她們的鄰居非常窮，圣誕節(jié)前夜，姐姐決定給鄰居唱一首圣誕歌祝福他們。后來姐姐每年都會如此，形成了一個(gè)習(xí)慣。有一年的圣誕節(jié)前夕，姐姐生病了沒法唱歌，于是妹妹Carol決定幫姐姐唱圣誕歌，當(dāng)妹妹來到鄰居們面前，大家非常吃驚，“快看!快看!那是Carol!”于是，圣誕頌歌的習(xí)俗就流傳下來了。
