　　[1] Good morning! It’s my great honor to be elected as the chairman of the Green Earth Society. Words can not express how much I appreciate this honor. Thank you all for your support and for your confidence in me. As I take this position, I’ll do my best, together with all our volunteer members of this organization, to promote environmental protection locally and globally, and to make more and more people become eco-conscious.

　　[2] “Why should I be eco-conscious?” you ask. There is a very simple reason: We live on one earth, and this is the only place we can live right now. We can't live in space, we don't have the food growing capacity out there yet for lots of people to survive. If we treat the earth like the city dump it becomes dirty and unlivable. If we treat it well by being eco-conscious, the earth stays a clean place, perfect for living, for ourselves and for our children.

　　[3] We are now living in a highly industrialized world. The expanding industries are providing us with more and more convenience and comfort. But I want to remind you that, owing to overdeveloping of natural resources, our earth is facing a disaster. Our air is being poisoned everyday by car fumes, our oceans are being polluted with toxic wastes, and our beautiful rainforests are being destroyed.

　　[3] 我們生活在一個(gè)高度工業(yè)化的世界。不斷膨脹的工業(yè)給我們提供了很多方便和舒適。但我想提醒大家，由于自然資源的過(guò)度開(kāi)發(fā)，我們的地球正面臨一場(chǎng)災(zāi)難。我們的空氣每天都受到汽車燃?xì)獾亩净?，我們的海洋遭到有毒廢物的污染，而我們美麗的熱帶雨林也遭到破壞。

　　[4] We all moan and groan about the loss of the quality of life through the destruction of our ecology, and yet each one of us, in our own little comfortable ways, contributes daily to that destruction. It's time now to awaken in each one of us the respect and attention our beloved mother deserves.

　　I am very glad to stand here to give thier a short speech。Today my topic is that the youth are the future of motherland

　　很高興站在那里做這篇短小的演講，我演講的主題是青年是祖國(guó)的未來(lái)。

　　When preparing for the English speech contest， I simply want to search some articles as the contents of my speech。 I read a lot of articles， some from the university professor， some from the famous host， some from the college students， and even from junior high school students。 But after reading it， I gave up the idea， I even felt shameful。 Today，the topic I want to talk about is a solemn and serious theme full of glory and pride， which is a mon aspiration of all our Chinese。 Every Chinese has his own dream of China， and of course， there is a dream lingering in my heart only belongs to my own。

　　記得剛剛上學(xué)那會(huì)兒，我們天真無(wú)邪。在課本里，我們學(xué)到了很多很多知識(shí)，也明白了很多很多道理，我們對(duì)祖國(guó)也有了一個(gè)最基本的概念。我們明白我們的祖國(guó)到處充滿陽(yáng)光，正在慢慢發(fā)展，而我們，就是祖國(guó)未來(lái)的花朵，未來(lái)的期望。我們夢(mèng)想將來(lái)能夠成為祖國(guó)的期望。

　　However，We don't know what time to start，We are grow up，Life became not the same， though we don’t want to admit， it’s the truth that our mind and attitude to our country is changing。 Our society became full of deception， indifference， intrigue， pressure， corruption， sinister， and we became irritable and not calm， detest the world and its ways。 Our country seems to have bee in a disastrous state too。 A lot of young students who were nurtured by our motherland became impatient， let alone what are their dreams ， what is the china dream ?

　　這，是我們最初的中國(guó)夢(mèng)。最真誠(chéng)的我們，最真誠(chéng)的夢(mèng)。

　　但是，不明白什么時(shí)候開(kāi)始，我們長(zhǎng)大了，生活似乎一下子變得和以前不太一樣了，與此同時(shí)，雖然我們很不想承認(rèn)但是卻又不得不承認(rèn)的是，我們的思想，我們的為人處世觀，我們對(duì)我們祖國(guó)的看法，也潛移默化中慢慢開(kāi)始了轉(zhuǎn)變。我們的社會(huì)變得到處充滿欺騙、冷漠、勾心斗角、壓力、腐敗、險(xiǎn)惡，我們變得暴躁，不冷靜，憤世嫉俗。我們的國(guó)家，似乎也開(kāi)始變得千瘡百孔。而好多我們親愛(ài)的祖國(guó)委以重任培養(yǎng)的青年學(xué)生們變得輕浮、急躁，更別提什么夢(mèng)想，什么中國(guó)夢(mèng)了?

　　I was surprised ，when the old man fell down in the street，We are afraid to help him。I was disappointed ，when someone do good things were reported，many people think he was affectation， I was sad，when I saw many of young people bee indifferent ，fraud and lack of ideal。

　　Are we sick， or is our dear motherland sick?

　　我很驚訝，當(dāng)大街上有老人摔倒，我們不敢再去扶起;我很難過(guò)，當(dāng)有人做了好事被報(bào)道，更多的人說(shuō)他做作;我很悲哀，當(dāng)我看到我們眾多的青年人變得冷漠、市儈、欺詐以及缺乏理想。

　　到底是我們病了，還是我們親愛(ài)的祖國(guó)病了?

　　I don't want to talk about the construction of our country politics， and also speak impassioned speech on the Diaoyu Island event 。I just want to appeal young people，showing the side of youth，good and confidence。We must learn to organize our own thoughts， correct our own concept， and change our direction to the right side in future life。 China dream actually lies in our young generation， especially of the intellectuals。

　　Perhaps the strength of a person is small， but when his or her fate is connected with the motherland， he or she will be hero or heroine。 Perhaps a dream is tiny， but when it bees the dream of a country， it bees inestimable。 Perhaps I cannot change our country by my own， but if thousands and thousands of young people struggle for the dream together， our motherland is enough to make the world shock。

　　也許，一個(gè)人，是渺小的;但是當(dāng)他和祖國(guó)聯(lián)系起來(lái)時(shí)，就是偉大的。也許，一個(gè)夢(mèng)想，是渺小的，但是當(dāng)它成為祖國(guó)的夢(mèng)想時(shí)，就是不可估量的。也許，我無(wú)法用自我一個(gè)人的力量撬起整個(gè)中國(guó)，但是我們千千萬(wàn)萬(wàn)年輕人一齊為祖國(guó)的夢(mèng)想去奮斗時(shí)，我們的祖國(guó)就足以令世界顫抖、動(dòng)容。

　　I dream to construct our beauty China with millions of young people who have the same dream。 We do it without exaggeration but only with persistence。

　　Another important step is developing more consideration for others. We should always put others first and place their interests before our own. It's also important to be good listeners; in this way people will feel comfortable enough to confide in us. However, no matter what we do, we must not gossip. Above all, we must remember to be ourselves, not phonies. Only by being sincere and respectful of others can we earn their respect. If we can do all of the above, I am sure popularity will come our way.

　　另一個(gè)重要步驟，就是培養(yǎng)對(duì)別人的體貼。永遠(yuǎn)以他人為重，并把別人的利益放在自己的利益之前。當(dāng)個(gè)好聽(tīng)眾也是很重要的;如此一來(lái)，別人才能很自在地對(duì)我們吐露心事。然而，不管我們做什么事，絕對(duì)不要說(shuō)閑言閑語(yǔ)。最重要的是，要做自己，不要當(dāng)虛偽的人。只有對(duì)人真誠(chéng)又尊重時(shí)，才能贏得他人的尊敬。如果我們能做到以上幾點(diǎn)，我相信受人歡迎是指日可待的事。
