高考英語詞匯詳解：anxious的用法
1. be anxious about sth 為某事或某人擔(dān)心或擔(dān)憂。如：
I’m very anxious about him. 我很為他擔(dān)心。
He was anxious about her absence. 他擔(dān)心她不來。
2. be anxious for sth 為某事或某人擔(dān)心或擔(dān)擾。如：
He was anxious for family. 他為他的家人擔(dān)心。
We are anxious about his health. 我們都為他的身體擔(dān)心。
注：此用法有時可將介詞 for 換成 about。如：
We’re anxious for [about] his safety. 我們擔(dān)心他的安全。
渴望某事物。如：
We are anxious for a change. 我們渴望換個環(huán)境。
We are really anxious for peace. 我們確實(shí)渴望和平。
3. be anxious to do sth 渴望要做某事。如：
He is anxious to see her. 他渴望見到她。
We are anxious to leave here. 我們急于要離開這兒。
注：此用法有時可與 be anxious for sth 互換。如：
He’s anxious to know [for] the result. 他渴望知道結(jié)果。
4. be anxious for sb to do sth 渴望要某人做某事。如：
We are anxious for him to come. 我們希望他來。
I was anxious for everything to be settled. 我希望把一切都解決。
注：該句型有時可與帶從句的結(jié)構(gòu)互換。如上面兩句也可說成：

1.ask about sth 詢問有關(guān)某人或某事的情況。如：
She asked about his health. 她詢問他的健康狀況。
Can I ask about the exam results? 我可以問問考試結(jié)果嗎?
2.ask after sb 問候某人。如：
They all ask after you. 他們都問候你。
3.ask for sth 要求得到某物或要求與某人見面。如：
He asked for some water. 他要些水。
A Mr Smith is asking for the manager. 一位名叫史密斯先生的人要找經(jīng)理。
4.ask sb for sth 向某人要某物或請某人給某物。如：
They asked me for help. 他們向我求助。
He asked her for her address. 他向她要她的地址。
5.ask to do sth 要求或請求做某事。如：
He asked to see the manager. 他求見經(jīng)理。
He asked to see whoever was in charge. 他要求見負(fù)責(zé)人。
He asked to go alone. 他要求一個人去。
6.ask sb to do sth 請或叫某人做某事。如：
Ask John to mail these letters tomorrow. 叫約翰明天把這幾封們寄了。

1.in any case 不管怎樣，無論如何。如：
In any case, you’ll have to be at the station by nine. 無論如何你九點(diǎn)鐘得趕到車站。
It may rain tomorrow, but we are going home in any case. 明天可能下雨，但不管怎樣我們都打算回家去。
2.in case 如果，萬一。如：
In case he comes, let me know. 如果他來，告訴我一聲。
If case I forget, please remind me about it. 萬一我忘記，請請醒我一下。
以防，免得。如：
Take your umbrella in case it rains. 帶上雨傘，以防下雨。
Be quiet in case you should wake the baby. 安靜些，免得把嬰兒吵醒。
以防萬一，免得：
You had better carry some money in case. 你最好帶些錢，以防萬一。
It may not rain, but you had better take an umbrella incase. 可能不會下雨，但你最好還是帶把雨傘，以防萬一。
3.in case of 如果，萬一，以防。如：
In case of fire, call 119. 萬一失火，就打119電話。
Take an umbrella with you in case of rain. 帶把雨傘，以防下雨。
4.in no case 絕不，在任何情況下都不。如：
You should in no case tell her about it. 你絕不能把此事告訴她。
注：若置于句首，句子用倒裝。如：
In no case should you give up. 你絕不能放棄。
5.in that case 既然那樣，假若是那樣的話。如：
In that case come a little earlier. 既然那樣，就早些來。
You don’t like your job? In that case why don’t you leave? 你不喜歡你的工作，那你為什么不辭掉呢?
