’s educational qualifications and professional experience. However, guidelines for preparing a resume are constantly changing. The best advice is to find out what is appropriate regarding the corporate (公司) culture, the country culture, and the culture of the person making the hiring decision. The challenge will include two or more cultures in one document. The following list is a good place to start.
● “Educational requirements differ from country to country. In almost every case of ‘cross-border’ job hunting, just stating the title of your degree will not bean adequate description. Provide the reader with details about your studies and any related experience.”
● Pay attention to the resume format you use-chronological or reverse-chronological order. Chronological order means listing your ‘oldest’work experience first. Reverse-chronological order means listing your current or most recent experience first. Most countries have preferences about which format(格式) is most acceptable. If you find no specific guidelines, the general preference is for the reverse-chronological format.”
● If you are presenting your resume in English, find out if the recipient (收件人) uses British English or American English because there are variations between the two versions. For example, university education is often referred to as ‘tertiary education’ in the United Kingdom, but this term is almost never used in the United States. A reader who is unfamiliar with these variations may assume that your resume contains errors.

Instagram is a fast, beautiful and fun way to share your life with friends and family.Take a picture or video, choose a filter to transform its look and feel, and then post to Instagram—it's that easy. You can even share to Facebook.Twitter and more. It’s a new way to see the world. So many photos of food are contained on Instagram—now a pop-up diner in London is taking advantage of this new trend by letting people settle the bill for their meals simply by uploading photos of their dishes to social networks.
I always thought people’s taking pictures of their food was kind of silly, but at this new pop-up restaurant in the UK,I’d probably do it too.“The Picture House” is the world’s first pay-by-photo restaurant—you order, click a photo of the food, share on Instagram and eat for free!
The restaurant belongs to frozen food giant Birds Eye,who came up with the idea to cash in on people’s addiction with photographing food and sharing the pictures online. They conducted a survey and found out that more than half of the British population regularly took pictures of their meals. So they realized it was a better way to advertise their new dining range.
The pop-up diner was open in Soho,London for three days in May,and is now moving to other major UK cities. They serve two-course meals that customers don’t have to pay for, if they photo and lnstagram it.
The restaurant is a part of Birds Eye’s “Food for Life” campaign,a new marketing project that aims at changing the way people look at frozen food.“Taking photos of food enables people to show off and to share their mealtime moments—from the everyday to the special,”said marketing director Margaret Jobling.
The reaction to The Picture House has been great so far And the pay-by-picture concept has proven to be an effective way.Alternative payment methods are actually gaining popularity among a lot of businesses.Last year in a cafe in Germany customers pay by how much time they spend there, not by what they eat.

The day I became a mom was not the day my daughter was born, but seven years later. Up until that day, I had been too busy trying to survive my abusive marriage. I had spent all my energy trying to run a “perfect” home that would pass inspection each evening, and I didn’t see that my baby girl had become a child. I’d tried endlessly to please someone who could never be pleased and suddenly realized that the years had slipped by and could never be recaptured(重現(xiàn)).
Oh, I had done the normal “motherly” things, like making sure my daughter got to ballet and tap and gym lessons. I went to all of her recitals and school concerts, parent-teacher conferences and open houses — alone. I ran interference during my husband’s anger when something was spilled at the dinner table, telling her, “It will be okay, Honey. Daddy’s not really mad at you.” I did all I could to protect her from hearing the awful shouting after he returned from a night of drinking. Finally I did the best thing I could do for my daughter and myself: I removed us from the home that wasn’t really a home at all.
That day I became a mom was the day my daughter and I were sitting in our new home having a calm, quiet dinner just as I had always wanted for her. We were talking about what she had done in school and suddenly her little hand knocked over the full glass of chocolate milk by her plate. As I watched the white tablecloth and freshly painted white wall become dark brown, I looked at her small face. It was filled with fear, knowing what the outcome of the event would have meant only a week before in her father’s presence. When I saw that look on her face and looked at the chocolate milk running down the wall, I simply started laughing. I am sure she thought I was crazy, but then she must have realized that I was thinking, “It’s a good thing your father isn’t here!” She started laughing with me, and we laughed until we cried. They were tears of joy and peace and were the first of many tears that we cried together. That was the day we knew that we were going to be okay.
Whenever either of us spills something, even now, seventeen years later, she says, “Remember the day I spilled the chocolate milk? I knew that day that you had done the right thing for us, and I will never forget it.”
That was the day I really became a mom. I discovered that being a mom isn’t only going to ballet, and tap and gym recitals, and attending every school concert and open house. It isn’t keeping a spotless house and preparing perfect meals. It certainly isn’t pretending things are normal when they are not. For me, being a mom started when I could laugh over spilled milk.

A. signing up kids for ballet and gym lessons

A. pardoned her B. covered her C. pleased her D. informed her

A. mum and daughter had led a miserable life before moving out
B. being a mum is not pretending things are normal when they are not
C. the daughter spilled the chocolate milk deliberately in the new home
D. mum and daughter laughed together at the funny paints on the wall
32.According to the passage, when did the writer become a real mom?
A. The day she gave birth to her daughter
B. The day she lost contact with her husband
C. The day she created a relaxing family atmosphere
D. The day she laughed at the spilled chocolate milk

It turns out that nodding off in class may not be a bad idea, as a new study has shown that going to sleep shortly after learning new materials is the best way to remember them.
According to US lead author Jessica Payne, a psychologist at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, nodding off after learning something new is like “telling” the sleeping brain what to remember. Along with colleagues, she studied 207 students who slept for at least six hours per night. Students were randomly assigned to study something declarative (陳述的) at 9 a.m. or 9 p.m., and returned for testing 30 minutes, 12 hours or 24 hours later.
Declarative memory refers to the ability to consciously remember facts and events, and can be divided into memory for events and memory for facts about the world. People use both types of memory every day — remembering where they parked today or learning how a colleague prefers to be called.
At the 12-hour retest, memory was better following a night of sleep compared to a day of wakefulness . At the 24-hour retest, with all students having received both a full night of sleep and a full day of wakefulness, students’ memories were greater when sleep happened shortly after learning rather than following a full day of wakefulness.
“Our study confirms that sleeping directly after learning something new is beneficial for memory. What’s special for this study is that we have shown sleep’s influence on declarative memory,” Payne said. “Since we found that sleeping soon after learning benefited both types of memory, this means that it would be a good thing to go over any information you need to remember before going to bed. In some sense, you may be telling the sleeping brain what to consolidate .”

The Chinese government has decided to end its one-child per family policy and let families have two children. A statement gives the reasons for the change, 61 (say) it is meant to balance population development, stop a declining birth rate and strengthen the country’s work force.
China 62 (carry) out the one-child policy in 1980. But the government permitted a small number of 63 (couple) to have two children. For example, some rural families were given approval to have two children if the first-born was a girl. In 2013, the government permitted other families to have two if one parent was 64 only child.
A teacher and population expert, Jiang Quanbao, explains how Chinese families will react 65 the policy. “Many young people in the cities are 66 (probable) not interested in having a second child,” he says. “People in rural villages may be 67 (much) interested, but some of them are already allowed to have two children.”
At the end of 2014, China had a population of 1.37 billion people, a total of 800 million of 68 are employed. But that job market population is expected 69 (drop) by 2050. With the two-child policy, the labor. 70 (short) will be relieved, starting in 20 years.
Though a great progress has been made in science these years, there are still many people live in poor conditions. They made their lives by collecting and selling used things. Their children cannot go to school while they have not enough money to send their children there. Why you think so many people still suffer from poverty now? The answer lies on the population explosion. A president of a developing country once said; “It is us who are to blame for the poverty because we used to “produce” child without limit.” Although this few words sound simple enough, they have clear pointed out one of the causes of the population explosion.
