I am with great pleasure to submit this personal statement in support of my application for continuing my university education in your esteemed university and wish you could give my application a positive and favorable assessment.
Currently, I am a junior student in International College of Hubei Normal University majoring in Accounting. Thus, I have obtained great knowledge about businessfor the past three years. Depending on that, I have determined to pursue a Bachelor degree at your distinguished university. There are there reasons leading to me choosebusiness, the most important reason is that I am very interested in business. In my opinion, handling good business is the same as successful work of art. That’s an exciting thing. The second reason is that I have already learnt it for three years, so I want to broaden my knowledge about business which will benefit my future life. The third reason is that I want to become a successful business lady which is my dream all the time.
To be honesty, I am an average student but I have diligent and strong confident heart. I believe that a good attitude can change bad situation. So I am always keeping a positive attitude on my life. I never ever give up any chance of promoting my study. During my three years in Hubei Normal University，I never fail a class and always do my best for assignment. However，in my mind, social activity is as the same important as class study. In my spare time, I took part in student union and took charge of minister in arts department. Our well-organized activities attracted many students to practice themselves. Last summer, I joined the Work and Travel Programme to be a staff in an American company for three months. I made good use of that chance to improve my oral English and tasted western culture. I think I can understand and adapt to a foreign culture in a short period.
I firmly believe that anyone could acquire success by their right way and fighting. This is one of the reasons why I want to go abroad. What’s more, I want to taste and accept some western education. I hope that I can learn more differences between Chinese and British university education and widen my horizon. Furthermore，as we know, UK is a very modern country. It owns the most advanced education system and top universities in the world. And graceful school environments deeply attract me. By the way, if I can learn in your university I would cherish and appreciate this chance. In the future, I also mean to apply Master’s Degree in UK. But after that, I will go back to my country and look for a job related to business.

新加坡留學(xué)禮儀與禁忌常識
一、饋贈(zèng)送禮
當(dāng)新加坡人邀請你到他們家里吃飯作客，帶份小禮物(一盒巧克力或一束鮮花)，會(huì)令女主人開心。在新加坡，當(dāng)著送禮人的面打開禮品是不禮貌的，因此不要見怪主人接過你禮物后不會(huì)立刻拆開包裝。
二、餐桌禮儀
新加坡人常用筷子和湯匙，餐廳也會(huì)提供叉子。吃雞或其他禽類時(shí)可上手。尤其是當(dāng)與馬來人和印度人共餐時(shí)，可模仿他們用右手代替筷子，用芭蕉葉代替盤子。用餐時(shí)不要把筷子放在碗或盛菜盤上，不要交叉擺放筷子，應(yīng)放在托架、醬油碟或餐盤上。當(dāng)同桌有海員、漁夫或其他劃船愛好者，切忌翻轉(zhuǎn)盤子里吃了一半的魚，應(yīng)該把魚骨移除，再繼續(xù)吃下面的魚肉，否則那將預(yù)示翻船。
三、注意環(huán)境衛(wèi)生
在新加坡必須隨時(shí)注意保持環(huán)境衛(wèi)生!隨地吐痰、棄物要受千元懲罰!在明令禁煙場所要嚴(yán)格執(zhí)行，違禁吸煙要罰款500新元。
四、禁忌
(1)舉止禁忌
以下是被新加坡人認(rèn)為極端無禮的動(dòng)作：用食指指人、用緊握的拳頭打在另一只張開的掌心上、或緊握拳頭、把拇指插入食指和中指之間。雙手不要隨意叉腰，否則會(huì)被誤解為生氣了。
(2)新年禁忌
新年期間不掃地，不洗頭，否則好運(yùn)會(huì)被掃掉洗掉;不要打破屋里的東西，尤其是鏡子，因?yàn)槟菍㈩A(yù)示著家庭的分 裂或發(fā)生其他不幸的事;不穿舊衣，不用針和剪刀，它們會(huì)帶來壞運(yùn)氣。
(3)數(shù)字禁忌
新加坡人認(rèn)為4、6、7、13、37和69是消極的數(shù)字，他們最討厭"7"，平時(shí)盡量避免這個(gè)數(shù)字。
(4)色彩禁忌
新加坡人視黑色為倒霉、厄運(yùn)之色，紫色也不受歡迎。他們偏愛紅色，視紅色為莊嚴(yán)、熱烈、刺激、興奮、勇敢和寬宏之象征。他們也歡迎藍(lán)色和綠色。
(5)圖案禁忌

三、交通費(fèi)
而日常的出行，則需要大家提前辦好卡，可以通用與公共的交通出行方式，包括地鐵、公交、電車等，可以享受一定的折扣，可以少花一些錢，單程的在3-15元之間，一個(gè)月500元左右。
交通是非常方便的， 不管是地下還是地上，路線的覆蓋都很廣，而且新加坡不是很大，大部分時(shí)候的出行，大家都可以選擇這類方式，還能夠近距離的感受新加坡的風(fēng)景。
四、生活費(fèi)
