　　《百年孤獨(dú)》作者馬爾克斯最后的人生感悟

　　以下這封信據(jù)傳是加布里埃爾·加西亞·馬爾克斯(Gabriel García Márquez，1928年3月6日-，哥倫比亞人，1982年因《百年孤獨(dú)》獲諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng))，得知自己身患絕癥(1999年得淋巴癌)后對(duì)人生的感言。

　　If God, for a second, forgot what I have become and granted me a little bit more of life, I would use it to the best of my ability. I wouldn't possibly, say everything that is in my mind, but I would be more thoughtful of all I say。

　　如果有一剎那，上帝忘記我是一只布偶并賦予我片刻生命，我可能不會(huì)說(shuō)出我心中的一切所想，但我必定會(huì)思考我所說(shuō)的一切。我會(huì)評(píng)價(jià)事物，按其意義大小而非價(jià)值多少。

　　I would give merit to things not for what they are worth, but for what they mean to express. I would sleep little, I would dream more, because I know that for every minute that we close our eyes, we waste 60 seconds of light. I would walk while others stop; I would awake while others sleep。

　　我會(huì)少睡覺(jué)，多思考。因?yàn)槲抑溃慨?dāng)我們閉上一分鐘眼睛，我們也就同時(shí)失去了60秒。當(dāng)他人停滯時(shí)我會(huì)前行，當(dāng)他人入夢(mèng)時(shí)我會(huì)清醒，當(dāng)他人講話時(shí)我會(huì)傾聽(tīng)，就像享受一支美味的巧克力冰激凌!

　　If God would give me a little bit more of life, I would dress in a simple manner, I would place myself in front of the sun, leaving not only my body, but my soul naked at its mercy。

　　如果上帝賞我一段生命，我會(huì)簡(jiǎn)單裝束，伏在陽(yáng)光下，袒露的不僅是身體，還有我的魂靈。

　　To all men I would say how mistaken they are when they think that they stop falling in love when they grow old, without knowing that they grow old when they stop falling in love. I would give wings to children, but I would leave it to them to learn how to fly by themselves. To old people I would say that death doesn't arrive when they grow old, but with forgetfulness。

　　對(duì)于大人，我會(huì)向他們證明，那種認(rèn)為因衰老而失去愛(ài)的想法是多么錯(cuò)誤，我們是因?yàn)槭?ài)而衰老而不是與之相反。對(duì)于孩子，我會(huì)給他們插上翅膀而讓他們自己學(xué)會(huì)飛翔;對(duì)于老人，我會(huì)教給他們死亡的來(lái)臨不是因?yàn)樗ダ隙且驗(yàn)檫z忘。

　　I have learned so much with you all, I have learned that everybody wants to live on top of the mountain, without knowing that true happiness is obtained in the journey taken & the form used to reach the top of the hill. I have learned that when a newborn baby holds, with its little hand, his father's finger, it has trapped him for the rest of his life。

　　人呀，我從你們身上學(xué)會(huì)了太多的東西... .。.我知道，人們都想佇立在顛峰上，殊不知，真正的幸福恰恰就在于攀登險(xiǎn)阻的過(guò)程。我懂得，當(dāng)嬰兒用小拳頭第一次抓住爸爸的手指時(shí)，他也就永遠(yuǎn)地抓住了它。

　　I have learned that a man has the right and obligation to look down at another man, only when that man needs help to get up from the ground。

　　我明白，一個(gè)人只有在幫助他人站起時(shí)才有權(quán)利俯視他。我能夠從你們身上學(xué)到的東西是如此之多，可事實(shí)上已經(jīng)意義寥寥，因?yàn)楫?dāng)人們將我斂入棺木時(shí)，我正在死去。

　　Say always what you feel, not what you think. If I knew that today is the last time that I am going to see you asleep,

　　I would hug you with all my strength and I would pray to the Lord to let me be the guardian angel of your soul. If I knew that these are the last moments to see you, I would say "I love you"。

　　永遠(yuǎn)說(shuō)你感到的，做你想到的吧!如果我知道今天是我最后一次看你入睡，我會(huì)熱烈地?fù)肀?，祈求上帝守護(hù)你的靈魂。如果我知道這是最后一次看你離 開(kāi)家門，我會(huì)給你一個(gè)擁抱一個(gè)吻，然后重新叫住你，再度擁抱親吻。如果我知道這是最后一次聽(tīng)到你的聲音，我會(huì)錄下你的每個(gè)字句，以便可以一遍又一遍永無(wú)窮 盡地傾聽(tīng)。如果我知道這是看到你的最后幾分鐘，我會(huì)說(shuō)"我愛(ài)你"，而不是傻傻地以為你早已知道。

　　There is always tomorrow, and life gives us another opportunity to do things right, but in case I am wrong, and today is all that is left to me, I would love to tell you how much I love you & that I will never forget you。

　　永遠(yuǎn)有一個(gè)明天，生活給我們另一個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)將事情做好，可是如果我搞錯(cuò)了，今天就是我們所剩的全部，我會(huì)對(duì)你說(shuō)我多么愛(ài)你，我永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)忘記你。

　　Tomorrow is never guaranteed to anyone, young or old. Today could be the last time to see your loved ones, which is why you mustn't wait; do it today, in case tomorrow never arrives. I am sure you will be sorry you wasted the opportunity today to give a smile, a hug, a kiss, and that you were too busy to grant them their last wish. Keep your loved ones near you; tell them in their ears and to their faces how much you need them and love them. Love them and treat them well; take your time to tell them "I am sorry";" forgive me"," please" "thank you", and all those loving words you know。

　　明天從不向任何人作保證，無(wú)論青年或老人，今天可能就是你最后一次看到你所愛(ài)的人。因此，別再等待了，今天就開(kāi)始!因?yàn)槿绻魈煊肋h(yuǎn)不來(lái)，你也 許會(huì)遺憾今天沒(méi)來(lái)得及微笑，擁抱，親吻，會(huì)遺憾自己忙碌得只能把它們歸為一個(gè)最后的愿望。保護(hù)周圍你愛(ài)的人吧，告訴他們你多么需要他們。愛(ài)他們，善待他 們，用些時(shí)間對(duì)他們說(shuō)："對(duì)不起"，"原諒我"，"勞駕"，"謝謝"，以及你知道的所有愛(ài)的話語(yǔ)。

　　Nobody will know you for your secret thought, Ask the Lord for wisdom and strength to express them, Show your friends and loved ones how important they are to you。
