動畫制作
在拍攝制作方面，為體現(xiàn)書中講述的故事里小王子的世界與小女孩“真實”成人世界的反差，導(dǎo)演嘗試了使用不同的技巧和展示方式來體現(xiàn)不同的精神狀態(tài)，結(jié)合兩種在自己之前的電影《功夫熊貓》中實現(xiàn)過的動畫技術(shù)，計算機合成圖像(CGI)以及有著較濃郁童年特點的手動定格圖像，小女孩和她的世界——母親、房子、飛行員、飛行員家的花園——該部分采用以冷色調(diào)為主的CG動畫技術(shù)呈現(xiàn)，相反原著中的小王子與整個世界通過定格拍攝手繪紙模設(shè)計的角色形象方式描述，同時運用了大量暖光和陰影。于2008年電影《功夫熊貓》中和導(dǎo)演奧斯本曾合作過的漢斯·季默為影片配樂。
