1.Tell me about the kind of accommodation you live in?
I live in a large house with my family members. This is a two storey building with more than 8 rooms. I live in the first floor and this room is comparatively smaller than other rooms. It is a south-facing room with a beautiful garden and lake view. As I am still a student, the room gives the impression that a student lives there.
2.How long have you lived there?
I have been living in this house since my childhood and I got my own room when I was around 9 years old. I still live in this room.
3.What do you like about living there?
The room is quite comfortable and has got a beautiful view. I can easily reach the rooftop from my room and I like spending time there. The room has got two large windows and allows enough sunlight and air. I have been living in this room for many years and I love this room a lot.
4.What do you dislike about living there?
Well, I am quite happy with my room except that it is not large enough. This is the only aspect I dislike about this room. Not that it is that much small but I have a personal preference of living in a large room.
5.Describe the room you live in?
Well, it is a medium-size square room which is in the northern part of the house. It is in the first floor and this is the room I have been living for a long time. It has got two windows, an attached bathroom, and it is painted with light green colour. I have got my bed, sofa set, some paintings, wardrobe, study table, one easy chair, a computer, a TV set, one music player, an AC and a room heater in this room. The view from the room is quite beautiful and that’s the main reason I love to line in this room.
1.I like to live in a large house than living in a small house or in an apartment. The house must have a large garden in front of it and should be situated far away from the main road. Having a fountain in the garden would be a bonus for me. I would also prefer to live in such a house that offers enough sunlight and air. My room must be a large one and well-furnished based on my personal preferences. The room must have large windows and proper ventilation system.
2.I share the house with a number of students and so there isn’t much privacy. It’s nice to have other people about and I wouldn’t want to live by myself. But there are times when I want to be in a quiet place and concentrate on my work and that’s when I tend to go up to my room and study. If I’m in the mood for company I’ll go back downstairs to the communal living room and watch tv with one of my housemates. There’s almost always someone around. So I think get the best of both worlds.

3.I have lots of memories regarding this room. I have spent a golden time there where I studies, gathered with friends, learned many new things and felt like home. I learned how to cook during my stay there and there are several times the things I cooked were not easy to eat as I had been a horrible cook. Later I developed my skill on cooking and I guess I would have never learned it unless I stayed there.

1.Do you currently live in a house or a flat/apartment?
I live in a flat not far from the town center.
I currently live in a 300-square-meter house in the southern suburb of the town.
考生要了解flat/apartment與house定義上的差別。
2.Can you describe your house/flat?
Sure. The flat has 6 rooms—one living room, one kitchen, one bathroom and three bedrooms for my parents, my brother and myself. The extra one is for the guest who would come to stay with us.
3.What main items of furniture or appliances do you have in each room?
There aren’t many things in my home. To begin with, there is plasma TV with two surrounding speakers on each side in the living room. In front of it are a coffee table and a set of couches arranged in a half circle. There are also, of course, a few pieces of decorations in the corners and on the walls of the living room. In the bedrooms there is really nothing special, but only beds. However, in my parents’ room there is another TV and in mine, a desktop computer, because, you see, I have to work on my computer everyday.
4.Is it a typical house/flat in your city?
Yes, it is. You’ll find tons of flats/houses like this in my city.
Not really. I don’t think most people can afford a big house/flat like this one.
What do you like or dislike about your home? What would you change if you could?
表達(dá)對家的喜歡可以用到的詞匯有:spacious(large with lots of rooms), cozy(comfortable in a warm, welcoming way), light(a home with lots of natural light), warm(comfortable in winter), cool(comfortable in summer), convenient(close to your job, shops, children’s school)。 It’s convenient for my office或者it’s convenient for the subway。但是如果你不喜歡自己的家,可以用到以下詞匯:cramped(small without enough room), dark(does not get much natural light), drafty(lets in cold air in the winter), stuffy(uncomfortable and airless in the summer), noisy. 完整的表達(dá)可以是:“My home is light and spacious, but it can get very drafty in the winter. 或者可以說:“I like my apartment because it’s cozy, although it can get noisy, because there’s a restaurant just downstairs.” 還可以加入哪些描述住所的內(nèi)容呢?我們可以試著談?wù)剋ho you live with. Do you live by yourself, or do you live with your parents or friends? 比如我們可以說:“I live with my parents.” “I live in a shared house. I have four flatmates.” “I live by myself.”
首先注意,neighborhood不是一個(gè)人,而是the area near your home. Is it in the city center, or in the suburbs, or outside the city? 如果是住在城外,do you live on the outskirts of the city, in a village, or in the middle of nowhere? 還有你的neighborhood是quiet or lively? Trendy or boring? 有沒有parks or sports facilities? 比如,我們可以說:“I live in a very lively area just south of the city center. There are lots of cafes, shops, and places to go.” 或者說:“I live in a quiet neighborhood in the suburbs, in the north of the city. It’s a new area, and it’s nice but also quite boring. There isn’t really anything to do.”
好了,整合一下上面信息我們可以給出以下回答:“I live in a two-storey terraced house. It has two bedrooms, a living room, a small kitchen and a garden. It’s cozy and convenient for getting to work, but it’s a bit cramped, especially when we have guests. I live with my wife and daughter. Our house is near the city center, in a quiet neighborhood. There isn’t much to do, but there are some small shops and a park where we go if the weather’s nice.” 或者也可以說:“I live by myself in a studio apartment. It just has one main room, with a tiny kitchen. It’s very warm in winter, but it can get a bit stuffy in summer. I live in the city center, very close to everything. It’s very lively, with lots of bars and restaurants. It’s a good place for young people to live, but not many families choose to live here.”
It has white body and black eyes或者It's cute之外,幾乎沒有區(qū)別于其他同學(xué)的內(nèi)容。
例如a wedding you have attended,很多同學(xué)稱自己沒有參加過任何婚禮,導(dǎo)致在考場上語塞。
