  1 掌握聽力內(nèi)容的“暗線”

  首先,口語答題good和fair的區(qū)別是什么呢?讓我們先來看一段話:

  The question will ask youto explain the main concept or issue using the points and examplesthat were given in the lecture. So basically it's a very straight forward summary.

  這是ETS官方視頻中對Task 4所提出的要求,注意劃線部分內(nèi)容:你必須解釋清楚main concept或者issue。這就是高分關(guān)鍵!!!

  口說無憑。咱們來舉個例子~

  看題:禽類吃泥土的原因:輔助消化和排除毒素

  1 輔助消化,以渡鴉舉例,沒有牙齒,吃泥土是為了磨碎食物,這樣有助于消化較大的食物,比方說把很大的種子磨成小碎片。

  2 排除毒素,以鸚鵡舉例,吃泥土可以中和誤食的毒素,這樣就不會生病了。

  這道題是要求大家用example來論證“泥土在幫助鳥類消化這件事上起到了什么作用?具體過程是什么?”

  很多同學(xué)在回答第四題的時候,只是在單純地summarize the lecture(總結(jié)講座),而忽略了題目中隱藏的“暗線”,也就是高分要求中的points和examples。

  Fair級別的答案:For instance, a species of bird takes in soil sometimes. Because it's toothless, eating soil can help it with its digestion. 在這個答案中并沒有體現(xiàn)出soil起到的具體作用,因此只能得fair。

  再看Good級別的答題:Wild pheasant is a good example. It is toothless, so it has to take in soil sometimes to help it grind up giant seeds with hard shells into smaller pieces, to make it easier to digest. 這個答案中包含了3點(diǎn)重要信息,toothless, giant seeds with hard shells and grind up into smaller pieces,從而充分論證了soil在消化過程中起到的具體作用。

  2 善于改述內(nèi)容

  paraphrasing(改寫)是托福綜合口語中必須掌握的一項(xiàng)能力。口語第三題和第四題聽力部分內(nèi)容都在一分半至兩分鐘左右,字?jǐn)?shù)大約在200字,多則能到250字。而我們1分鐘能有效輸出的內(nèi)容只有120-140字。

  換句話講,答題的時候必須刪減一半的聽力內(nèi)容。怎么做?

  請大家銘記一件事:大多數(shù)Task 4中都有近1/3的內(nèi)容是廢話,必須聽懂,但不必闡述。見下面這段文字:

  Today, we're going to discuss forest fires. Generally, when a forest fire occurs, the animals in the area will of course scurry away from the fire. Some animals, though, actually benefit from forest fires and so will follow them because forest fires can help them meet their survival needs. Let's discuss two benefits forest fires could have for these animals.

  One benefit is that they can make it easier for predators to find food.A forest fire will force animals out of their hiding places, which predators make use of because fleeing animals are much easier to catch than they normally are when they are hiding deeply.

  For example, scientists have observed skunks doing this. These animals will go to the edge of a forest fire and wait there in order to catch all the insects running out of the burning forest, which is a much easier way to catch insects than the normal way of pecking for them on the ground.

  Another benefit forest fires could have is to help provide a good place for the development of young animals.Forest fires can make an otherwise harmful environment more suitable for their development.

  For example, Burch trees in the forest are poisonous to ants. They have a special chemical that keeps ants away. But after a fire, ants will seek out these trees because the trees are dead and ants are able to lay their eggs in the trees without being hurt by the chemical. The young ants use the trees' nourishment until they mature into adult ants.

  其中標(biāo)注顏色的是重點(diǎn),其他都是廢話,聽懂即可。考試時將有顏色的部分記下來,并將重點(diǎn)信息進(jìn)行改述,壓縮到相應(yīng)的時間里面。

  再次強(qiáng)調(diào),闡述example的時候,一定要想著to example the main concept or the issue。

  托??谡Z題目:Apart from getting relatively good jobs after graduation, what else benefits do you think can university students gain from university education? Give specific explanation in your response.除了獲得相對好的工作,你認(rèn)為大學(xué)教育對學(xué)生還有哪些益處。

  In my view, one benefit is about affection. Studying in universities, youngsters tend to be mature in mind, polite in behaviors, elegant in appearance, thus young boys and girls will be more likely to be attracted by each other’s magnetism, consequently, they may harvest a beloved one or even a spouse.

  The other benefit I think is that they can get acquaintance with friends from a variety of industries. They may meet friends who are adept in computer science or skilled at biology research or rich in knowledge on laws and policies and so on. In daily lives, whenever meeting some troubles, asking for help will be easier

  托福口語模板:收到禮物賣掉或送給別人

  托??谡Z題目:After receiving some presents, several months later, some people choose to sell the gifts or give the gifts to others. Do you think it’s a good idea and why? Give specific explanation in your response.收到禮物幾個月后,一些人會賣掉禮物或轉(zhuǎn)送他人。你是否認(rèn)為這是個好主意,為什么。請在回答中給出具體的解釋。

  Personally speaking, I don’t think it's a good idea. The main reason is this choice will lose the meaning of giving presents. When giving you a present, no matter it is for your birthday or for the Christmas or for the New year or something else, the present represents the wish, the care, the love to you given by your friends; such good blessing is priceless and worth remembering everlastingly. However, if selling them or giving them to others, it means you don't cherish them, the good blessing to you is gone, which will make people giving you presents heart-breaking or even annoyed.

  托福口語題目:動物應(yīng)該被賦予和人一樣的權(quán)利。你是否同意這一陳述,給出具體的理由。

  Personally speaking, I think animals should be entitled to have the same right to pursue happiness and health as humans. The main reason is that this will enable our human beings to have a harmonious society. Animals, especially pets, no matterit is a dog or a cat, should also have the right to have healthy food to eat, clean water to drink, warm houses to live in and good environment to enjoy and so on. In this way, the animals will feel happy and our human beings will feel relieved. However, if animals don’t have such right, when animals are extremely hungry or thirsty, they may even bite or hurt people. Oh, nightmare!
